About Us
Thatcher Engineering Systems Pty Ltd, is an independently owned Australian trading company that has been selling and servicing machinery for the Sawmilling, Woodworking and Panel Equipment sectors for over 40 years. First starting in 1980
from premises in Geelong Rd, West Footscray Victoria, and moving to their current location in 1985 at 4 Govan Street Seaford Victoria. The Founder and Managing Director, Mr Russell Thatcher is still active in the day to day running of the company.
RHINO Panel Equipment was established over 15 years ago as a Division of Thatcher Engineering Systems Pty Ltd, to supply quality machinery at competitive prices to the Panel Industry, given the growth and demand in this area.
The team at Thatchers are very pleased with the design and quality of the product range which has now become RHINO Panel Equipment, including our RHINO Hot and Cold Panel Presses, Timber Rotary Clamping Presses and Glue Spreaders – used by some of the largest in the Panel Industry including Corinthian Doors, William Russell Doors, Jeldwen, RE Spence, as well as many independent panel and door produces and major Fire Door Manufacturers.
RHINO also offers Edgebanders including our Top Selling RHINO R4000S Compact Edgebander, Panel Saws, Starter Packages, Sanders, Scissor Lift Tables and Dust Collectors.
Thatcher Engineering Systems Pty Ltd are the exclusive Australasian agents for PAUL Optimising Docking Saws and Multi Rip Saws (Germany) and CML Multi Rip Saws and material handling systems (Italy), and have many agency lines from Europe and USA for new and used Sawmilling, Woodworking and Panel Producing machinery.
