About Us
Tilco has always been synonymous with our master tradesman, Barry McFarlane, a giant of the industry. Barry's career in agricultural implement design and manufacturing spans many decades and the contribution he has made to the sector i
s second to none.
His brilliant designs and incredible work ethic have built Tilco on a foundation that is exceptional, to say the least. Safeguarding Barry's contribution, experience and knowledge is integral to the future of Tilco. So, as Barry begins a transition into spending more time with his wife, Lee, and their family (well deserved on all their parts) we are pleased to welcome, Andrew & Bess O'Connor into the business.
Andrew and Bess are well known throughout the agricultural sector, particularly the cotton Industry. With Andrew having spent 20 years working in cotton as a farm manager, as well as his own farming and contracting businesses. Andrew is well known for his innovative thinking and impressive engineering skills and brings genuine in-field experience and understanding to the design and build process. Ensuring that our implements are the only ones in the market built 'for farmers, by farmers', with brave innovation and practical convenience in mind.
Andrew and Barry have been working together on clean sheet redesigns of many tools, row units and implements to breathe new life into common and standard equipment. Andrew is also working on many designs born out of his own experience in farming and changes within the sector's practises, to ensure we can work with farmers who are trying new strategies and innovating to adapt.
We are excited and pleased that Tilco will continue to be a family owned and operated business, with a focus on our clients and a very bright future ahead. As a tight-knit, family owned business we also want to take this opportunity to thank our team and our families for the work, ideas, sacrifices and contributions that they all make to ensure we continue to succeed.
We couldn't do it without you!
To our clients, we genuinely appreciate the encouragement and support that you have met these changes with. Knowing that we continue to have your support is all that really matters to us going forward.
We will continue to do our best, to build the best for you. Thank you!
