The Earthmoving sector is synonymous with diesel power but, time’s are changing. The introduction of electrification to the construction industry has been making quick progress internationally, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) are beginning to see power and performance from electric machinery as a more viable option for the future.
With more net zero equipment on display at BAUMA—the world’s leading construction and mining trade fair—it’s clear the uptake of environmentally friendly technology is here.
One such OEM leading the way for development is FirstGreen Industries. Based in Czechia, FirstGreen is at the forefront of development, producing the technology and locally manufacturing all of components for their skid steers for an emerging global market.
Their first class electric skid steers, the Elise900 and the MiniZ, effortlessly deliver the power and capabilities of world-class loaders, but with only one difference—zero environmental impact. These machines have been manufactured with intelligent technology, a tough steel frame, and a silent grunt that leaves prospective buyers impressed.
The global uptake of the Elise900 and MiniZ from FirstGreen is what caused Coalroc Directors, Glenn Cunningham and Gerald Tinney to bring these machines to the Australian market.
With a well respected reputation and more than 20 years’ in the coal mining industry, Glenn and Gerald had what it took to see the potential of the FirstGreen machines. And, after witnessing the phenomenal muscle behind the machines, the uptake of the Elise900 and MiniZ for the Australian market was a simple decision. Glenn and Gerald created Electric Machinery Sales to service the market with these impressive units.
Electric Machinery Sales is now the exclusive distributors of the Elise900 and the MiniZ electric skid steer loaders from FirstGreen Industries.
The Elise900 certainly delivers on multiple levels. Ergonomically designed with 8hours operating time on a 400Ah battery. The recharge time to reach 100% power is only 5.5hours, and it delivers over 52HP and over 17,000 charge cycles.
Gyro sensors, 4 hydraulic speeds, and the proprietary self levelling platform means that the Elise900 is consistently smooth and level. A higher chassis and higher pin height means the unit won’t get stuck; even with an operating weight of 5tonnes.
Even with this weight the stability is very impressive, the Elise900 can operate at a 47 degree tilt and at a 35 degree climbing angle, which means it can precisely overcome obstacles. The lift capacity with the 44Ah battery is 1200kg.
The Elise900 is 3.5 times less noisy than competing products and of course, has zero emissions. There is a remote control option with 2 joysticks that has an operating radius of 50m. This skid steer is extremely cost-effective and is designed to reduce operating costs by 80%, compared to equivalent diesel machines. It’s believed the Elise900 could pay for itself after 10,000 hours of operation!
The MiniZ is similarly impressive and delivers all the functionality and features in a smaller unit.
The Elise900 and MiniZ combine intelligent manufacturing and sophisticated technology. For more information contact Glenn or Gerard at Electric Machinery Sales or visit their website here.
