East Wind’s latest generation of Tractors, the DFS 554 (55 HP 4WD), has just hit the market and according Midway Sales Director, Scott Spring-Brown, this model takes Chinese tractors to another level.

“We have proven over many years we can delivers great, performing reliable machines. Our latest release shows that we are also stepping up the sophistication. This machine features a first for Chinese tractors having push button PTO for effortless control of implements. 12 forward and 12 reverse gears is pretty impressive too as you would only generally see this in much more expensive big brand tractors.Said Mr Spring-brown.

The DFS 554 comes standard with a factory fitted 4 in 1 front end loader with an impressive Italian designed and manufactured joystick and control valve. It’s single joystick control enables smooth and precise operation of all front end loader functions. This gives operators the ability to scoop, blade, level as well as grab. The DFS 554 is ideal for shifting all kinds of material from soil to garden mulch and opening the 4 in 1 bucket up exposes the blade for scraping and pushing soil. With that, having the ability to close the bucket over an object also makes the DFS 554 great for grabbing and has a 4 point hydraulic hose removal to facilitate the quick release of the loader.

As Mr Spring-Brown went on to explain, the DFS 554 delivers big on performance and he talked more about some advantages you can get out of this new tractor.

Another great feature of this East Wind tractor range, the Synchromesh shuttle shift, improves the ease of control and comfort for the operator and makes moving between forward and reverse feel effortless. Which can be a big advantage when shifting material with a front end loader.He said.

Plus you have the advantage of multiple reverse gears which makes it much easier to select an appropriate speed for the conditions. On top of all that, The DFS 554 has a synchromesh gear box eliminating the “crunching noise” found on more basic tractors. It all adds up to easier gear selection and smooth shifting on the move.

The three point linkage system features quick links. This clever system enables easy attachment of implements without the heavy lifting often needed to precisely align connection points. Combined with the 2 speed power take off and dual hydraulic remotes, all popular implements can be driven including slashers, rotary hoes, grader blades, wood splitters and even back hoes.He continued.
