While the team at Mech-N-Air have been getting on with business in Campbellfield, the company Director, Rodney Muller, has been kicking some serious goals in the Access sector.
With the underlying restrictions associated with 2020 international trade making a new territory for businesses to navigate, the local Mech-N-Air team continued with the sales and service of Wacker Neuson, Digga and Tracto Under Ground Drilling Equipment. But, behind the scenes, Rodney Muller had quietly negotiated the exclusive partnership with the renowned Italian manufacturers of the Easy Lift Spider Boom under the most difficult of conditions. The first shipment of the range landed in August 2021 and since setting down, the Easy Lift brand has impressed many clients who were seeking best in class.
Early 2020, Easy Lift was investigating the Australian market for a suitable partner and it became obvious that Mech-N-Air was going to be their choice as their exclusive Australian dealer.
Mech-N-Air’s well established and successful tenure with over 20 years’ in the market and excellent industry associations had catapulted the business into focus. The fact that Mech-N-Air had been servicing inventory from major companies like Qantas, Kennards, Coates and Winslow for many years was proof that the company would be the ideal candidate. With an unblemished reputation, and a consistent customer base renewing their contracts, there was sufficient evidence that partnering with Mech-N-Air was based on top notch customer service, superior technical management, and industry best practice.
When Easy Lift contacted the Elevated Work Platform Association (EWPA) to discuss who they should approach to represent the business in Australia, it was a natural decision for Mech-N-Air to be presented as the first choice. The company was then presented to the Italian manufacturer by the EWPA. With introductions, negotiations and the partnership secured, the first shipment of the Easy Lift Spider Boom was en route from Brescello and landed on shore in Australia some 8 months later.
While demand hasn’t slowed for Mech-N-Air’s earthmoving and compaction equipment, the interest for the Easy Lift Spider Boom has continued to grow due to their super compact size and the Australian market’s interest in European machinery.
The Easy Lift Spider boom folds down to a mere 860mm and has an extended reach up to 31 metres while providing superior stability on slopes up to 30 degrees incline. Featuring a Honda engine, lithium battery and the ability to plug directly into 240V. The Easy Lift Spider Boom can be towed behind a 4WD as the total weight is only 2 tonne and it can easily be stored in a garage, making it a practical addition to many businesses who require access without the drama of extra trailers and storage facilities to accommodate oversized machinery.
Impressively, the Easy Lift Spider Boom has a platform capacity of 200kg, a swing of 260 degrees just like a knuckle boom, and the ability to fit through a standard doorway—making it a highly functional and transportable piece of equipment for the building and arborist sector. It’s clear to see why the Easy Lift is continuing to make big waves across the access sector with its compact size and Italian engineering, not to mention the extremely affordable price point.
Richard Martin from Austruct was an early adopter of the Easy Lift Spider Boom purchasing one of the first 18m machines to land in Australia and speaks very highly of the Italian engineering and with his experience with Mech-N-Air. Richard explains that the boom is easily towed behind his Ford Ranger, eliminating the costs associated with hiring a flat bed trailer and the delivery process every time he needs a boom.
The Easy Lift Spider Boom can be set up in 5 minutes and packed up in equally fast time. The feet spread out from the 860mm base to provide superior stability. Richard he has been able to transport the machine through the most narrow and trickiest of places where traditional booms would not have been applicable. Richard explains that it was magic to manoeuvre through areas that would normally be inaccessible and it could not have been any easier, likewise for ease of storage. To top it off, Richard says it was a very smooth ride and the size of the footprint makes the user feel very secure.
You can view the Easy Lift Spider Boom at Mech-N-Air and even test the ride to confirm the superiority of the Italian machinery. With several lift sizes available with a reach from 18 metres to 30 metres, the Easy Lift Spider Boom can be delivered Australia wide. Mech-N-Air is currently offering 0% finance* on the current range of Easy Lift Spider Booms located at the Campbellfield Head Office.
