Review: Mustang 2100RT Skid Steer Loader

Mustang 2100RT: The Introduction

The skid steer is among the compact lines of construction equipment that is highly in demand in a lot of markets and workplaces, primarily because of the equipment’s great balance between versatility and power, essentially adding a new dimension to the daily operation in the construction area. In our equipment review for today, we’ll be having a closer look at one of Mustang’s own standard unit in the skid steer market, the 2100RT Track Loader.

Mustang 2100RT: Key Features

Great mobility

First and foremost, the 2100RT is surprisingly pretty agile than what I initially expected before our tryout with the machine. For its compact and almost square frame build, the machine barely had any issues making turns and operating on some really rough patches of land. In addition, the servo-controlled hydrostatic drive and rubber track undercarriage system improve the loader’s balance and stability in almost any terrains.

Strong structure

The Mustang’s 2100RT is equipped with ROPS/FOPS level 2 overhead that is in line with the international market standards. Furthermore, the tilt-out foot pod, backup alarm, combination radiator and hydraulic oil, also add some essential elements to keep the operation safe and steady in the workplace. The exterior has also been designed to endure the daily grind in constructions site and to give the machine a longer life and better durability.

Operator comfort

Despite the compact size, the 2100RT actually owns a pretty spacious and ergonomic pressurized cab enclosure with A/C that is also complemented by a good set of controls that highlights efficiency and ease of access. The electro-hydraulic joystick controls, selectable control pattern configuration, drive sensitivity adjustment, and multi-function display allows the user to control the machine with relative ease and accuracy.

 Steady performance

The 2100RT is one the more well-balanced skid steer in the Tutt Bryant Equipment market and that starts off with the machine’s ability to keep a steady performance thanks to a range of standard and top quality components that make up equipment’s core. Highlighted by a 70.7 hp Yanmar diesel engine and a lifting height of up to 128″, the track loader also boasts a rated operating capacity at 50% of tipping load is 3,000 lbs, making it one of the more powerful and reliable workhorses among its line.

Mustang 2100RT: The Verdict

The Mustang 2100RT Track Loader owns a good range of average and features specs that should make it one of the better mid-range track loaders in the market. The durable build of the machine is a good plus, and so as the ergonomic overall design of the equipment. Summing up, the machine could warrant a strong consideration from most earthmoving businesses that is in need of a practical and straightforward solution in dealing with low and medium duty tasks in the workplace.
