New 5-Axis Waterjet Series Makes Automated Cutting Easier

Presented by SAME Waterjet

Waterjet cutting machines are popular thanks to their ability to produce high-quality, precision cuts on a range of materials, without the need for heat. This effectively reduces the damage rate on materials caused by heat-affected areas that occurs on other types of cutters (such as laser or plasma cutters).

Most waterjets typically have 3-axis. Now, there’s a waterjet cutter series that allows for an additional 2-axis for perpendicular movement and rotation. These new 5-axis waterjet cutters allow you to cut through more materials faster, with a level of precision that is hard to match.

The 5-Axis Waterjet Series

The 5-Axis Waterjet series makes light work of tough cuts. Source: Supplied.

The 5-Axis Waterjet series by SAME Waterjet is made up of four waterjet cutting machines: The G3020 AC5X Waterjet, the G4020 AC5X waterjet, and the C4020-AC5X waterjet. This series allows you to cut through steel, porcelain, marble and granite.

G3020 AC5X Waterjet

This waterjet has an AC 5-axis head, making it ideal for cutting complex 3D parts and through different metals such as titanium, copper, hardened steel, aluminium and more. This system saves energy and is highly efficient with high-moving speed up to 6000mm/minute!

C4020 AC5X Waterjet

The C4020 AC5X waterjet cutting machine is very similar to its gantry counterpart, however this machine utilises a cantilever cutting table. This provides an exceptional advantage of a much easier load of material sheets, ensuring higher efficiency and less work for your team both before and after cutting.
