Tata Motors just launched their first vehicle for the year 2017. And it’s a pick-up truck that comes in a single cab and dual cab options: the Tata Xenon Yodha.
According to sources, the truck is powered by a 3-litre diesel engine, which is available in either a BS III or a BS IV compliant version. The single cab with the BS III variant costs Rs.6.05 lakh (Aud 12,100.00), while the one with the BS IV option starts at Rs 6.19 lakh (Aud 12,380.00). In terms of efficiency, it can handle a payload capacity of up to 1,250 kilograms. This makes it suitable for a huge array of applications, including the delivery of agricultural produce, milk, poultry, and fish.
“With the introduction of the new Tata Xenon Yodha, we at Tata Motors have a new range of smart pick-up’s, which offers customers with a winning combination of high profitability and lowest total cost of ownership,” stated Ravi Pisharody, the Executive Director of Commercial Vehicles at Tata Motors, who announced the launch of the new vehicle. “Besides bolstering our presence in the growing pick-up space, the new Xenon Yodha will also enable us to partner existing mini-truck customers, aspiring the next phase of growth, to upgrade to a reliable stylish pick-up – particularly in the post GST regime and on the back of improved road infrastructure, which will see the hub and spoke model of distribution, become more and more prominent,” he continued.
Pisharody also stated that the new Xenon Yodha is an ideal modern workhorse for various commercial usage. And with it, their company is confident in boosting their lead in the LCV sector, complementing the success of their Tata Ace series of small commercial vehicles.
Currently, the recently released pick-up truck is endorsed in India by Bollywood star and Tata Motor’s newest commercial vehicle brand ambassador, Akshay Kumar.
