The condensed water and cold air then flow into the moisture separator, where the liquids are collected and removed by the condensate drain, ensuring maximum moisture removal.
Once the liquids are removed, the cold, dry compressed air passes through the cold side of the first-stage heat exchanger, where it is reheated by the warm incoming air. This raises the discharge air temperature, preventing pipe sweating. The treated compressed air is then ready for use downstream.
