The compressed air is cooled to 2°C, transforming it into liquid condensate. The condensed water and cold air flow into the moisture separator, where liquids are collected and removed via the condensate drain, ensuring maximum moisture removal. Once the liquids are eliminated, the cold, dry compressed air passes through the cold side of the first-stage heat exchanger, where it is reheated by the warm incoming air. This process raises the discharge air temperature, preventing pipe sweating. The result is treated compressed air, ready for downstream use.
