Whether gluing stands or hydraulic gluing presses, working with width gluing makes high demands. But the RPG-NH hydraulic gluing press from BARTH changes that. This press features movable hold-downs. Now gluing table tops, stair treads or solid wood panels becomes child’s play. The hold-down device on the gluing press prevents the scantlings from slipping on the glue line. On the normal gluing stand or gluing press, the high pressure often causes the scantlings to shift, which subsequently necessitates a high degree of surface removal by sanding or planing. Not so with the movable hold-down devices. The classic hold-down device has to be hooked in and unhooked each time it is used, whereas the movable hold-down device on the RPG-NH can be pulled in without much effort. The hand levers of the hydraulic cylinders simply fold away.
