Ypsos is the newest vertical machining center developed by CMS, ideal to process float and laminated glass sheets, entirely designed thanks to many decades of experience in the glass industry. This is the first and only vertical CNC machining center capable of grinding and polishing with two heads at the same time. This project was conceived to reach the best reliability ever in the vertical CNC category. The new software has been designed to make the user interface more efficient and intuitive than ever. Based on the configuration selected. Ypsos can carry out seaming, polished and industrial grinding, milling and coaxial drilling operations.

This machine provides absolute accuracy and quality, accompanied by the classic benefits in terms of productivity and versatility given by the vertical machining process. Available in 3 standard sizes, it allows the processing of small and large-sized parts up to 6,000 x 3,300mm max. (additional maximum processable sizes available upon request). Ypsos can be used as a stand-alone machine, in line with a drilling-milling machine (CMS vertec) or inside an insulating line. Can also be automatically connected to an external washing machine.

• 13.5 Kw frontal Electro-Spindle designed, manufactured and supported by Cms Brembana carries out most of the milling, drilling, arrising and polishing functions. Optional second processing spindle to reduce cycle times by up to 25%.
• Unique cooling system for the frontal spindle prolongs life and guarantees constant performance
• 5Hp rear drilling unit allows drilling from the front and rear and greatly decreases spindle maintenance and replacement cost.
• 13 position rotating tool carousel at ground level allows for the capacity of multiple production runs
• 6 position rear linear tool rack for the drilling tools allows for ample drilling diameters
