``For vegetables and diced fruit sorting Protec presents the new DixAir line of sorters. This system has proved to be the most efficient in detecting defects such as off-colour, rot, and discoloration in black, green and white colours. The choice in diced tomato sorting is the DixAir T system.``

The sorters works by means of a system of linear high speed camera high resolution, which inspects the product conveyed on the belt. The image analysis is carried out on an electronic board which exploits the newest technologies of integration and speed, entirely designed by Protec, to guarantee the highest performances. Combined with a powerful software for imagine elaboration it is possible to inspect defects with a resolution of 0.25 x 0.25mm.

The conveyor belt permits an easy maintenance and a rapid replacement, reducing at the minimum the parts to disassemble. The belt speed is adjustable up to 4 m/s.

The unsuitable product detected is ejected by means of air nozzles, actuated with electro valve. Their number and pitch depends on the type of product.

The software monitors all the functions: machine’s settings, air pressure, motors activation, belt speed.
