SPECIAL FEATURES
In terms of environmental protection, the SM 518.2 actually belongs by law in every medium-sized recycling plant. This is because our screening machine handles domestic and commercial waste, compost, bark, wood chips, bulk material or excavated earth so well that the very best end products are always produced in up to five separate fractions (using additional equipment) and can be recycled immediately.
Depending on requirements, the SM 518.2 can be operated either as a drum or star screen machine. The quick-change system allows it to be converted from one to the other in no time at all, which is particularly effective for service providers with a wide range of screening tasks.
So if you first have to screen 300 m³ of compost with the sieve drum at 10 mm and then have to deal with 500 m³ of wood chips at 40 mm with the star sieve insert, you don't need to worry about how you're going to get it all done.
Operating as a 2-fraction drum screening machine as standard, the SM 518.2 with the optional units for coarse material separation, rear belt wind sifting and magnetic rollers produces up to five fractions in one operation.
But that's not all, because the machine is so flexible that it can even be used as a mixer for bulk materials with a mixing drum. The SM 518.2 becomes unique when you use the washing drum conversion kit, which allows you to prepare the desired sieved materials as a final product with a clean surface for further use.
