Turf Tiger II 61? Diesel
Almost identical in every way to the traditional 61 inch Turf Tiger II that runs off of petrol, this Turf Tiger II 61 inch model has been mated to a Kubota diesel engine that provides a just a little more power, little more torque, and slightly better fuel efficiency without many trade-offs at all.
The only thing you’re going to notice that’s functionally different between this diesel engine and petrol engines available for the 61 inch model is the fact that it can only hit 16 km/h as it top end speed as opposed to the 19 km/h available with the gas engines.
SCAG has improved almost every aspect of the original Turf Tigers with this new iteration, including featuring a brand-new double tubular steel frame and triple ply Velocity Plus cutting decks that far outperform more “modular steel” and bolted together frames you’ll find with lesser zero turn options.
The extra strength from this approach provides a much more stable and secure platform to mow from, as well as a platform that is a lot more comfortable for the operator – particularly when you are bouncing over uneven terrain and chewing through thicker grass and plants on the ground.
