FOM Industries AXEL 4-axis CNC machining centre

The AXEL 4-axis machining centre has been designed to carry out drilling and milling machining operations on aluminium or steel profiles. The mechanical specifications of this modern machining centre and its control system also mean that it can be economically used for the production of single pieces.

Standard bed lengths are 7.5m, 10m, 15m, or 18m. The Z capacity is over 350mm, with over 550mm available in the Y. However as a fully customizable solution, all specs can be modified on request. The on board tool change system allows a large range of tools to be readily available to the machining head.

The working area can be equipped with the \"alternate machining\" function allowing the operator to load/unload profiles whilst the machine is operating in alternate areas. This option uses a second pneumatic, retractable, stop creating 4 separate working areas. A motorized chip conveyor can also be installed in the base of the machine.

The main structure of the machine bed has the sliding carriage on its rear section. Both are made in electro welded steel and stabilized after each manufacturing phase to ensure that there is no internal tension; this process guarantees stability and precision during machining.
