Construction
The IFE eddy current separator consists of a belt conveyor with two pulleys. The pulley on the feeding side of the belt conveyor is driven by a gear motor, the belt speed is electronically infinitely variable. A labyrinth seal and a closed housing protects the bearings from ingress of foreign matter.
An extremely strong, fast rotating permanent magnetic system is located in the head pulley of the belt conveyor.
The special structure generates a pulse-like magnetic field, and it has an electronically, infinitely variable speed.
The entire device can be a modular construction vibro feeder / eddy current separator / separating unit mounted on a base frame and can therefore be easily transported and assembled.
The separating unit can be equipped with a second splitter for separation of ferromagnetic particles and with an automatic adjusting device.
A complex control cabinet unit guarantees the best adjustment to the specific feed material resulting in the best separation.
Centric / Eccentric systems available.
Centric systems are best suitable for high feed rates, as the material is exposed to the
magnetic field for a long period of time. Using various rotors with different pole numbers
allows for high specific feed rate at particle sizes of > 15 mm.
Eccentric systems are tuned for fine particle separation. The throw-out point can be adjusted
individually.
