Our range of IFE Flip-Flop screens are built to suit a wide range of applications to assist with the separation of hard to screen materials.
Screens in this range are the optimal solution for extremely difficult materials. Where conventional screening machines become blocked, these screens provide excellent results at high feed rates, even with small mesh sizes.
IFE Flip-Flop screens are found in most material processing industries for both recovered products & raw materials.
- Waste & recycling facilities
- Crushing & Screening plants
- Quarry & Mining
- Scrap recycling facilities
- Alternative fuel production
- Organics
- Timber recycling & manufacturing
The IFE Flip-Flop screen has two frames, moving relative to each other, flexibly mounted within a static support structure. Transverse mesh support beams are alternately attached to the inner and outer frames. The beams cause the mesh sections to stretch and relax cyclically. High accelerations result, which prevents sticking and blinding. An eccentric shaft generates the relative movement of the side frames which results in the three different motions being imposed on the mesh.
Feed end:
The circular motion at the feed end assists in quickly spreading and a small burden depth of even the most difficult materials and in conveying the feed material forward quickly.
Central section:
A linear motion in the central section of the deck area ensures optimum contact between material and mesh thus improving screening efficiency.
Discharge end:
The reverse elliptical movement at the discharge end retards the material and maintains a bed depth ensuring efficient “near size” particle extraction.
The opposing motions of the moving frames are effectively balanced and result in low dynamic forces being transferred to the support structure.
Advantages of IFE the Flip-Flop at a glance
- Low Dynamic Forces:
- Eccentric shaft is dynamically counterbalanced with weights.
- Compensation of the vertical forces obtains an almost perfect, dynamic load distribution.
- Installation assemblies can be kept lightweight and simple
Large feed rates
- The circular motion at the feed end assists in quickly spreading and a small burden depth of even the most difficult material and in conveying the feed material forward quickly.
- High Screening Efficiency
- Acceleration rates of up to 50 g are reached in the screen panels
- Good stratification of the material
- Optimum contact between material and mesh in central section
- No sticking or blinding
- Safe operation through simple and robust construction
- Low maintenance
IFE Flip-Flop screens come in a range of sizes & available with a double or single deck screening configuration.
