Induction Sorting System

For separation of heavy metals with low conductivity, especially stainless steel.
The concentrates recovered by the ISS® can be profitably marketed owing to their purity. The non-metal scrap fraction can be disposed of at significantly lower costs and in a more environmentally-friendly manner.

A sensor fixed beneath the conveyor route (just in front of the discharge) detects the metals on the conveyor belt and activates the corresponding pneumatic valves located on a strip situated low down in front of the discharge drum. The detected metals are ejected from the flow of material. The metal detection is based on inductive resonance, which causes a piece of metal to change the voltage in a current-carrying coil as it passes it.
