Jungenthal Ke 1600 Vertical Turret Lathe- 59 " 4 Jaw Chuck / Elevating bridge design . Under Bridge clearance 1600 mm -3 Phase 415 Volt

This unit has now been partially dismantled as we could not get it out of the building in one piece. This was an expensive exercise requiring 2 fitters and a crane, which is why the list price has now increased slightly; it does make it much easier and cheaper to transport, however.

Getting it out of the building required 2 cranes. The unit is currently stored in a warehouse belonging to a crane company I deal with regularly as it was too big for us to store here. This means that loading your transport is relatively straightforward.

It's now in 4 pieces +the base plate, Total machine weight is around 35 tonne:
Main column and motor and the main tool rest approx 25 tonne and transport height of 4m.

TYhe base plate it iscurrently sitting on is 3.5m x 4.7m. The main motor is 30KW 40 HP. There are several additional motors for various functions
Bridge section approx 6 tonne and 4.7 m long
Turret 1 approx 1.3 tonne
Turret 2 approx 2 tonne

Ex Lufthansa aircraft maintenance workshop. The lathe was reconditioned before shipping to Australia about 8 years ago. Very capable machine in excellent condition. It does not require pit for installation.

It was imported into Australia to use for manufacture and rework / repair on very large wheels for the mining industry. That company has now closed down.
