The LINIA CNC pipe cutting plasma machines from Complete Machine Tools give you the speed, accuracy at a super competitive price.
The servo controlled pipe cutting machine is simple to program and a fantastic addition to the workshop needing to bring pipe fabrication inhouse.. You have the ability to cut numerous shapes and sizes and makes light work of those jobs needing pipe work done. The pipe cutting machine takes away those jobs where time consuming manual processes are needed in order to get the job out. The size range of pipe that can be cut is 50mm - 520mm and 6m in length (shorter or longer length machines can be ordered in)
Supplied complete with programming and nesting software from FASTCAM as well as a servo driven chuck so your LINIA plasma cutter can be set up and running in just a couple of hours!
A chuck is fitted which has the scope of 50 - 520mm pipe clamping and is controlled by a servo motor and reducer. The cutting head is also servo driven ensuring accuracy. Depending on the length of the machine there are numerous pipe steadies along the lower table that are adjustable depending on the size of the pipe and run along guideways so they can be positioned to the desired distance.
The machine comes standard with a wireless remote control for quick and easy setup and positioning of the machine saving time when setting up a new job and making it simple to maneuver around the machine.
Auto homing & zero position setting makes a tedious job simple and quick on a Linia CNC plasma cutting machine.
All drive components are well covered and shielded by guards for additional safety of everyone and protection of your machine.
An oxy head is supplied as standard with this machine so either plasma or oxy can be used.
Comes with as standard a laser alignment light on the cutting head for simply position on the start position. A red light is emitted onto the job so you can see very quickly the start position of the cutting head.
A thermal height control system is fitted to the cutting head ensuring the height of the cutting head stays a constant distance to the pipe when rotating and cutting.
Panasonic servo motors are used on all axis which gives all axis fast and accurate positioning speeds from a very reliable well known manufacturer.
The Linia CNC plasmas use high quality components for long term accuracy and enhanced machine life.
All Linia plasma machines use Hypertherm plasma power supplies for superior reliability, flexibility as well as easy availability of consumables and spare parts.
The CNC controller uses a large screen for easy viewing and an inbuilt parts library with common cut parts where all you need to input is dimensions and a part can be cut very quickly without having to use the offline programming software. This is useful when a single part such as a base plate, circle, square and so on needs to be cut quickly and only a one off part needs to be cut.
OFFLINE SOFTWARE -
Fastcam offline software is supplied with the machine, version supplied is FASTPIPE
FastCAM® supply no-nonsense software programs that help solve common everyday problems for metal profiling and fabrication businesses.
Quality metal fabricating can mean the difference between a good product and a waste of time and money.
Fastcam software has enabled many hundreds of fab shops & sheet metal shops to easily undertake projects in-house on their own machine that they might otherwise outsource.
All FastCAM® programs are designed to be used by tradespeople who just want to get the job done. Right first time. On time. No-fuss, affordable and with the minimum of training.
All this and local, Australian based, support is available as well every business day.
Customers can send you a drawing file or you can draw a part in Fastcam and in minutes you can be cutting that part on your machine.
Copy the file or multiple files for cutting to a USB and take it to the machine....simple!
CNC pipe cutting machines are mainly used in two major areas: pipeline and space tube frame steel structures.
The pipeline application areas are mainly concentrated in the petrochemical, natural gas, shipbuilding, metallurgy, boiler / pressure vessel, power and other infrustructure industries, including long-distance pipeline, utility pipes and industrial pipes. The structural characteristics are usually single node intersects.
Parts can be developed quickly and adjusted to seam locations etc., to ensure they fit available stock.
Automatically produces meaningful data for the forming and joining of parts when appropriate.
Creates a detailed PartsList table which is ideal for estimation. No more guesswork!
Produces a full length wrap around template as a pattern. If the diameter or length exceeds the capacity of the pipe cutting machine it can be created as a DXF or CAM file which can be edited in an external CAM system (or plotted).
In addition, the FastCAM® System can be used to add various details to the pattern. e.g. Slots can be added to a pipe intersection profile when reinforcing plate is to be inserted in the joint.
The system is sophisticated but uses familiar shop floor terminology making it very simple to use. To get a feel for the program you can check out our FastSHAPES playlist on FastCAM TV. The FastPIPE program is very similar in functionality. The difference is that FastSHAPES® is for pre-formed (flat) plate.
Four 'shapes' cover most pipe development needs:
Elbows: Transforming gored bends.
Pipe Branches: All types including 'set-on' and set-in' developments and offset branches.
Standard Pipes: Short square-cut stubs.
Mitred Straights: Short square-cut stubs, complete with mitred bend(s) and twists.
Wrap around templates are produced in X,Y co-ordinates which allows for manual nesting of parts. Weld preparation is easily applied to a square-cut edge as a secondary operation (often after forming and/or removal of green). Inside/outside mark and cut line edges are also handled, as are assembly markings. Three standard weld types are accommodated: Fixed Butt (Groove) Weld; Combination, Butt-Fillet, or alternating Butt, Weld; Square cut Butt (Groove) Weld.
(The above machine is a straight cut pipe cutting plasma and cannot do bevel cuts)
