The PETRO Self Bunded Low Profile Trailer - Galvanised Dual Axle is the latest innovation from the PETRO design team. We are proud to announce the launch of our new 1000L and 2000L self-bunded fuel trailers, designed and produced in Australia. These trailers meet the requirements of the mining, civil construction, hire industry, and general industrial markets.

Two options are available: the LPT 1000L (safe fill level 800L) and the LPT 2000L (safe fill level 1,550L) trailers. These trailers feature a true self-bunded, tank-in-tank design, where the inner tank can be removed from the outer tank for long-term testing, cleaning, and maintenance. Unlike simply welding two pieces of steel together, our design provides the best environmental compliance. The tank is fully baffled to ensure liquid stability when towing.

The chassis is independent and separate from the main tank module, allowing for easy maintenance over time. The design includes a dual axle configuration, a fully hot-dip galvanized frame, a roller/rocker suspension system, large rims, new tyres, Sunraysia rims, a heavy-duty axle system, a 50mm tow ball hitch assembly, mechanical override brakes, a safety chain assembly, rear drop-down supports for trailer stability when not connected to a vehicle, a heavy-duty swing-away jockey wheel, LED lighting, and heavy-duty stainless steel roller bars firmly fixed to the main chassis unit. These trailers meet the requirements for towing fuel in accordance with Australian Dangerous Goods Transport Regulations.

The low profile, aerodynamic style ensures a low center of gravity. The gas strut lockable lid provides access to the tank fueling area, which features a mechanical level gauge, numerous spare ports for connecting support or ancillary equipment, a fuel industry-standard anti-static fill tube, and a weatherproof recessed housing.

For hire company applications or stationary equipment connection requirements, such as generators, lighting towers, and pumps, we provide two suction connection points and two return connection points, conveniently located at the rear of the trailer for simple and quick connection to site equipment. Foot valves on the suction points ensure that a prime is maintained on the suction line of the stationary equipment.

Additional features include a 4.5kg fire extinguisher, an amber site flashing light with an extension pole, a spare tyre and tyre mounting cradle, and a drawbar-mounted, bunded, weatherproof pump bay housing. The pump bay has two lockable reverse-opening full-length access doors and is fed by an independent 40mm ID suction line with a pre-installed foot valve, guaranteeing a prime on the pump unit for ease of next start fuel flow. The pump bay is large enough to store all required dispensing equipment, including the pump, meter, filter, hose reel, and battery, and features an aerodynamic profiled design for ease of towing. Note that dispensing equipment is specified specifically for your application.

These heavy-duty trailers are suitable for on and off-road use and can be registered throughout Australia. Both capacity options can easily be customized with solar panel kits, making it easy to power all dispensing equipment wherever needed.
