The SwingGrinder M was developed expressly for the removal of slag from plasma and flame cut parts 4 to 5 times quicker than using an angle grinder or other manual methods.
The design was based on the Loewer original SwingGrinder, extremely popular deburring and edge rounding machine for laser and punched sheetmetal parts.
Parts are placed on the table and the operator passes the counterbalanced arm with a double ended spindle holding the abrasive tools across the top of the parts to remove the slag and by rotating the spindle 180 degrees all edges can be rounded.
The first process removes the slag using a 150mm diameter Hammer Disc as the operator moves the arm easily of the workpiece. By releasing the locking pin, the spindle is rotated 180 degrees, presenting the Mediumdisc which has multiple soft fingers backing abrasive that finds all holes, cut-outs and edges to remove secondary burrs, and round the edges without taking the material surface off.
No flying sparks and dust mean a better environment, and 5 times faster than current manual methods.
No special skills are required so virtually anyone can achieve better results that even the most skilled operators can be expected to do.
Oxide removal brush is also available, as are discs for other processes.
This machine is a perfect tool for any shop that plasma cuts parts that require slag removal.
Even small parts can be processed as the machine comes equipped with an under table magnet to hold them in place during processing.
Being able to quickly finish off cut parts saves enormous costs in labour, time, and also consumables.
