The base of the machine is a single base structure to guarantee maximum rigidity. The SCM ERGON has two separate tables which travel independently of each other, which means pendulum machining of components can be optimized. Each table has one or more of its own dedicated electro spindles which are anchored to the cross beam and can be run individually or alternatively, all the heads can be used on a single table if required with pendulum loading and unloading (eg. Routing of identical MDF doors).

Fast tool change-overs are realized by on board tool magazines and there is also the option to have additional lateral tool changes. This means that the machine can be equipped with all the tooling required in a working shift. Tooling life can also be optimized for all heads by swapping tools between magazines.
