The XL-BOX is a multi-function laser marking station that can be operated by an individual or integrated into a robotic cell. It features a ytterbium-enhanced SIC Marking fiber laser, utilizing the latest generation technology that enables high-quality marking without affecting the material. This applies to a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics, and it does so with a shorter cycle time.
The marking capabilities include alphanumeric codes, barcodes, and 2D Datamatrix codes. The XL-BOX provides high-contrast engraving that is easily readable with the naked eye or instantly scannable by integral reading cameras within the station. It is designed for high-rate marking, making it suitable for small, medium, and large production runs.
As a standalone unit, the station is robust and ergonomic, offering access to a very large work zone measuring 570 x 564 mm from three sides. The unique and intuitive production software is user-friendly, even for personnel with limited experience in laser technology.
When the XL-BOX laser station is integrated into a robotic cell, it requires only one connection to the laser control rack for the island PLC to manage the entire system. The station can communicate marking data, open and close the automatic door for loading and unloading parts, and initiate marking or fume evacuation.
The XL-BOX equipment ensures maximum safety during use. It features a Class 1 safety enclosure (standard EN 60825-1) and has a PL-E safety level, which is the highest possible according to ISO 13849-1. The system status is indicated by LED lights located on the top strip of the enclosure, while the interior of the work zone is illuminated by LEDs, providing optimal working conditions for the user.
The XL-BOX is also available with castors and a workstation for a PC.
**Possible Options to Order**
Customers can choose from different enclosure dimensions, specific tools, supplementary movements (such as Z-axis, rotary axis, and automatic axis), and more to suit their needs. Options such as 3D marking (the ability to mark one or more parts of varying heights) or an integral reading system are also available.
