Films with superior optical and physical properties are produced on a cast film line. A single flat sheet is extruded through a flat ``coat-hanger`` design flexible lip die onto a chill roll. The molten film is cooled in an extremely short time after it leaves the die and line speeds are significantly higher than that of blown film.? High-quality cast films, such as laminated films, stretch films, type-writer-ribbon film, packaging film & hygiene films, can be produced on chill roll lines. Telford Smith Extruders are designed to operate at the high RPM required with consistent performance allowing the converter to maximise line speeds and reduce conversion costs.
