The BHS Indexing Belt Filter (type BF)
The BHS Indexing Belt Filter is a continuously operating,
horizontal vacuum filter used for the efficient and at the same
time gentle separation of sedimenting solids from suspensions.
The filter cake forming on top of the belt can undergo further
treatment in a wide range of process steps, demonstrating the
high process versatility of the Indexing Belt Filter. As a result,
the filtrates can be individually recovered and processed.
The primary plant unit is a 6.5-meter BMS Vacuum Filter Table which is currently temporarily stored in a 40ft container. It is in excellent, as-new clean condition and has been used only in pilot trials on liquid dairy flocculant protein (DAF) extraction, with less than 100 operational hours. The Filter Table is a complete operational unit with its Ducting, including the 15 kw, 400-volt Motor and liquid ring Vacuum Pump with the initial vacuum separator cylinder and water piping, plus one 3,356ltr Filtration Separation Tank. Included are two 7.5-micron filter belt cloths. The table is supported by 1.5-meter steel legs for underneath access. Note, that the table is not equipped with a liquid wash option as noted in the schematic, as this did not apply to the DAF process.
The following is a list of alternate applications for the filter table.
Protein solids from dairy company wash
Sludge dewatering
Industrial wastewater
Chemical extraction
Oil refinery
Metallurgy
Papermaking
Food solid extraction
Coal washing
Mineral sludge
Slaughter Sewage
Printing & dyeing wastewater - Ink sludge
Dairy farm effluent – Animal manure extraction
Drinking water.
Aggregate fines
Canning sludge.
Grease trap sludge
Clay manufacturing
Potato mash
Grape mash
Fruit mash
In addition, for sale are:
(ii) A circulating belt air Dryer. This shed-like unit is constructed of a freezer panel.
(iii) A Kaeser 62T compressor, specified 8 bar (116 psi) pressure. The usage hours are unknown as it is not currently accessible in the packed container.
(iv) There is other miscellaneous equipment and stainless-steel tanks.
(v) Schnenk VDF Rotating vacuum filter. It is stainless steel and has a filtration area of ~13m2. The unit is stored outside and would require refurbishment.
(Vi) Pump Rotary Displacement Pump
